Assam Police has invited online applications for 496 posts of State Level Police Recruitment Board Constables.
Assam Police Recruitment 2022 rallies will be held in the districts of Assam to select candidates for the following number of vacancies on the pay scale. 14000-60,500/(Pay Band II), inclusive of the grade pay mentioned against the post and other admissible allowances of each department.
The date and venue of the Physical Quality Test and Physical Efficiency Test (PST & PET) and Written Test etc. will be announced by email, SMS and various other mediums and through the Assam Police official website (www.slprbassam.in). ,

Constable (WO / WT / OPR) – 441 posts
Educational Qualification: Passed 10 + 2 (Science) including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from recognized board or council.
Constable (UB) – 02 posts
Educational Qualification: Passed HSSLC or Class XII from recognized board or council.
Constable (Messenger) – 14 posts
Educational Qualification: Must have passed HSLC or equivalent examination from a recognized board or council and have a valid driving license for LMV, MMV and HMV etc.
Constable (Carpenter) – 03
Educational Qualification: Equivalent to ITI course in HSLC or Trade
Constable (Dispatch Rider) – 10 posts
Educational Qualification: Must have HSLC or equivalent and a valid driving license for LMV, MMV and HMV etc.
Assistant Squad Commander – 05 posts
Educational Qualification: Twelfth class pass or equivalent (Science) including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) from any recognized board or council.
Candidates must get Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) pass marks in the 10 + 2 (Science) examination to apply for the post.
Driver (Operator) – 12 posts
Educational Qualification: Must have passed 8th class and have a valid driving license for HMV (Heavy Motor Vehicle) from a recognized authority (the State of Assam only).

The candidate must fulfil the following criteria:-
- Candidates must be Indian citizens, permanent residents of Assam. After the publication of the final selection list, the selected candidates will have to submit the proof of residence/domicile certificate. However, candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/ MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.
- Candidates have to register their name with the local employment office of Assam.
- Candidates should speak Assamese or any other state language fluently.
Candidates should not have knees, flat feet or wrinkled eyes and should not be colour blind. Varicose veins would be considered a temporary disability. They should be in good mental and physical health.
They should be free from any physical deformity and free from any disease like diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory disease or any other disease which may interfere with the discharge of duty.
Farsightedness should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not less than 6/9 without correction. Nearsightedness should be normal.
- F&ES for APRO and Driver (Operator) Constable Posts: 18 to 25 years as of 01-01-2022 (i.e. candidate should be born on or before 01.01.2004 and on or after 01.01.1997)
- For the post of Assistant. Squad Commander: 20 to 24 years as of 01-01-2022 (i.e. candidate born on or before 01.01.2002 and 01.01.1998).
Relaxation: Upper age limit will be relaxable in:
- 5 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) and ST (H).
- 3 (three) years in the case of candidates belonging to OBC/ MOBC.
- Relaxation of additional 3 (three) years for trained Home Guards who have worked for 3 (three) years or more for candidates applying for constable posts in APRO only.
The date of birth adopted by the SLPRB will be as per the Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate issued by the Govt. Recognized Board.
However, candidates applying for the post of Driver (Operator) in F&ES who have not appeared in HSLC/Matric will only accept the Birth Certificate issued by the appropriate authority/School. No other age-related documents like horoscope, affidavit and other similar documents will be accepted.

How to apply Assam Police Recruitment 2022:
Interested and eligible candidates can apply online only through the official website of Assam Police, State Level Police Recruitment Board – https://slprbassam.in (see a link to the application form below) dated 16/02/2022 to 17/03 / 2022
After successful submission of the online application, the System Generated Registration / Acknowledgment Slip will be displayed on the computer screen. Candidates must print it out for future correspondence.
At this stage, Assam Police Recruitment 2022 will not send any print-out / hard copy or document to the State Level Police Recruitment Board. All verifications will be completed on time.
Applications are to be submitted online through the SLPRB website www.slprbassam.in. No other type of application will be accepted.
The candidates should follow the following steps while submitting the online application:
- Register on the portal using a valid mobile number.
(Note: Candidates are advised to keep their mobile numbers unchanged till the completion of the recruitment process)
- After successful registration candidates will get Assam Police Recruitment 2022 ID.
Candidates have to log in with this ID and apply for any of the posts advertised through SLPRB.
- Candidates will enter their profile in the application portal at one time. However, those who have generated multiple Recruitment IDs will be disqualified.
All the candidates have to appear for their PST/PET and written test only from the district under which their permanent residence address falls.

a) Passport Size Photo:-
Focus on uploading a good quality picture. Your application will be rejected due to the poor quality of the submitted photo. Assam police admit card will be printed along with the uploaded photograph.
i) Pictures should be in colour and taken in a professional studio. Mobile phone pictures and other self-portraits are not acceptable.
ii) Take pictures on a white background.
iii) Photograph must be taken after 1st January 2022.
iv) The face occupies about 50% of the space of the picture and should be viewed directly with the camera with the entire face.
v) The salient features of the face should not be covered by the hair of the head, any cloth or any shadow. The forehead, both eyes, nose, cheeks, lips and chin should be visible.
vi) If you normally wear glasses, glare on glasses in your photo is not acceptable. For photoshoots, glare can be avoided by tilting the glasses slightly down.
vii) You should not wear dark or tinted glasses, only clear glasses are allowed.
viii) Ask your photo studio to provide the image in a JPEG format and also on a standard 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm (45 mm x 35 mm) print.
ix) Maximum pixel resolution for JPEG: 640 x 480 (0.3 megapixels) (ask your studio to reduce it to this resolution if it is higher).
x) Minimum pixel resolution for JPEG: 320 x 240.
xi) The maximum file size is 450 kb (kilobyte).
xii) For your own benefit it may be prudent not to intentionally change your facial features or hairstyle till the day of examination as shown in the photograph.
i) Please put your signature on white paper in black or dark blue ink.
ii) Get the photograph/image digitally scanned by a professional photo studio, and crop the image by the studio itself.
iii) Only JPEG image formats will be accepted.
iv) The maximum pixel resolution for the image is 800 x 300.
v) The minimum pixel resolution for the image is 400 x 150.
vi) The dimensions of the signature image should be 3.5 cm (width) x 2.5 cm (height).
vii) The maximum file size is 100 kb.
viii) Mobile phone photograph of signature is not acceptable and may result in disqualification of the application.
i) Passing Certificate of HSLC / HSSLC examination as applicable for the post concerned.
ii) Marksheet of HSLC / HSSLC examination applicable for the post concerned.
iii) Admit card of HSLC or equivalent examination for proof of age.
iv) Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority/School as proof of age for the candidates applying for the posts of Driver (Operator) in F&ES, who have not appeared in HSLC/Matric.
v) Employment Exchange Registration Card.
vi) Home Guard training and minimum 3 years experience certificate issued by the competent authority for claiming age relaxation as mentioned in para 2(d)(iii) above.
vii) Driving License for LMV, MMV and HMV etc. for candidates applying for the posts of Constable (Messenger & Dispatch Rider) in APRO.

Selection Process: –
Candidates whose application has been proved to be correct in all cases should have a Physical Quality Test (PST) and Physical Proficiency Test (PET). If a candidate is found to have a physical deformity, as detected by the medical officer present at the DLSC, he will be barred from appearing for other examinations.
Document Verification: –
With one set of all original documents, Photostat copies of the documents will be verified before allowing the candidate to appear in PST and PET as per the given eligibility criteria. Rejected candidates will be given a rejection slip stating the reason for rejection.
Providing any false information or forged documents at any stage will lead to disqualification of the candidate and may make him liable for a criminal trial. The candidate’s original documents can also be kept for verification and selection at any stage after the recruitment process. All photostat copies submitted by the candidates must be duly self-certified.
To avoid tampering with the document at a later stage, the Chairman or member of the DLSC shall sign every copy of such document during PST and PET; Especially in caste certificates and any other document which bears marks against extra-curricular activities and special skills.
Physical Standard Test: –
Candidates must appear for PST (Physical Standard Test) if the documents prove to be correct. There will be no mark on it. Candidates’ height, weight and chest measurement (chest measurement only for men and transgender people) will be done using the latest technology and then the candidate will be examined by a medical officer for preliminary examination such as knee joint, vision test, colour blindness test. ,
Flat feet, varicose veins, physical deformities etc. Once a candidate has cleared PST, he/she will have to take PET (Physical Aptitude Test).
Physical Fitness Test – Number 40:
PST eligible candidates have to go through PET. PET includes the following:
The physical aptitude test will be number 40. It will have 2 (two) events such as:
A) Male / Transgender candidate
A) Race: Those who qualify for PST will have to run 3200 meters in 14 minutes (840 seconds).
B) Long jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 opportunities are given and the longest valid jump will be considered for round points up to the nearest cm).
