UPSC Success Stories: What can a person not do if his spirit is high? Civil services exam result was released by UPSC on 23rd May. Where a Head Constable posted in Delhi Police also got success. Since the announcement of the result, Ram Bhajan, who has been posted as head constable, has been receiving congratulatory calls. Ram Bhajan secured 667th rank in UPSC exam. A total of 933 candidates have passed the civil service examination this year.

Ram Bhajan’s phone rang just after the UPSC civil service exam results were declared. From his family to senior officials called him to congratulate him. Delhi Police also expressed happiness on its Twitter account and congratulated Head Constable Ram Bhajan.

Big platform for service

Ram Bhajan is a resident of a small village in Rajasthan. He says his family struggled a lot to educate him and meet his daily needs. But he never expected it. He was appointed as Constable in Delhi Police in 2009. Ram Bhajan said that he always wanted a bigger platform to serve people and wanted to do more for the society than what he is currently doing.

Success in eighth attempt

Ram Bhajan says this was his eighth attempt. As he is from OBC category he is eligible to give nine attempts. He said that even if he did not clear the exam this time, he would have continued his preparation for the next attempt. But he will once again take part in the upcoming preliminary examination to improve his rank. Despite many failures, he did not lose courage and finally passed the exam. His wife kept him motivated by exam preparation. In 2019, UPSC Exam, Constable Feroz Alam posted in Delhi Police cleared Civil Services Exam. After he became ACP, Ram Bhajan also took a lot of inspiration from him.
